Park Challenges

Park Challenges are terrain park competitions for skiers and snowboarders ages 10 and up. Contestants will be judged on style, creativity and trick completion.

Park Challenge 2008

This year Norway Mountain will hold 1 park contest. This will be a huge competition featuring the best up-and-coming riders and skiers in the area. There will be a large cash prize for 1st place finishes in each age bracket. Details on dates will be coming soon!

Rules

Skier's and boarders will be broken up into 3 age groups; 10-13, 14-17, 18 and up. Each contestant will get 2 runs, each worth 10 points. The best run will be counted as your final score. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contestants in each age group. All judges decisions are final. Helmets are REQUIRED to compete.

Doubles Challenge

In addition to the individual competition, contestants will be able to pair up and compete as a 2 person team. There are no limits for this, any age and skiers/boarders mixed. The judging will be based on 10 points. The only rule is that both team members must hit one jump together. Prizes will be awarded to the top 2 teams.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 competitors from each age group, as well as the top 3 teams in the doubles competition. The top competitor from each age group will also become park of the Norway Mountain Park Crew. Park Crew members have their bio and photo on the Norway Mountain web site, and have input into future competitions and park design. More details on Park Crew benefits will follow soon.
